blue sky stuff - A think tank ?

 Nigel Stonham, MBA

1. I met a chap who told me that he stopped being self employed in 2003 when the govt changed the SVA rules to require 22% of all income. 2. I caluclauted recently that in the UK with 20,000 income you would get around 17,200 in hand, while in Austria which seeks to be the #1 place for startups many of whom must start off as being self employed (?) , with 20,000 einkommen self employed you would get some 11,000 in hand ... 3. In 201X I read the then chancelllor saying in an SPÖ prospectus tht said we want Austria to be easy for startups
( as the govt was saying in 1999 when I arrived. ) I thought, well if you as chancellor are still saying it rather than saying we did it 2-5 years ago, I dont really believe your will to do so . "Austria - Land of Dreamers " ( oh, why is it that currently small businesses pay more tax than Amazaon or Macdonlads please ? as per the recent advert I saw )

Congrats to our Co-Founder Lisa-Marie Fassl for being featured in the Financial Times this week. 👏👏 Very exciting! Check out her post to read the article & her views on the Austrian Startup Ecosystem:
This week I had the pleasure to share my thoughts on the Austrian #startup #ecosystem and its attractiveness for international #investors with the Financial Times.

Especially these days, incentives for both international & local investors, are extremely important to foster innovation and the growth of the startup community. Access to funding, outstanding talent and an appropriate regulatory framework are the key elements of a thriving ecosystem.

Right now, there's a window of opportunity: The world is changing and new challenges & crises arise faster than ever before. It's our call to do something about it. And be #entrepreneurial.
