What if.... companies avoid taxation, people dont have jobs and noone has money to buy stuff..

then govts have no income... from all three sources... what then ???

Teacher Chilu I didn't believe this when I earlier read it NigelGuy Stonham. I have questions, how will those transport facilities and companies be maintained? Do they have separate income besides fares? If so what are they?
  • Nigel Stonham as in , its run like schools and hospitals and roads from public taxation income tax and corporation tax and sales taxation i guess. obviously ( to me ) those income streams drop off if companies avoid taxation, people dont have jobs and nowone has money to buy stuff... hmm,,, quandary... what then ?

"In January, after the Worcester Regional Research Bureau, a local think tank, proposed the idea, the city council declared its support for eliminating fares altogether. It’s a move that Gray and other local advocates believe will not only ease the financial burden on riders but also increase the number of people who choose to take transit, ultimately touching off a virtuous cycle that will lead to better bus service and fewer cars on the road.
